Ron Park is the former CTO and head of products at Turnitin, the number one edtech SaaS vendor. It was backed by Insight Venture Partners and sold to Advance for $1.7B in 2019. Over five years at Turnitin, Ron led a technology modernization from a legacy monolithic architecture to a modern AWS micro services architecture based on Docker and Kubernetes. In addition, Ron was employee number five and the first VP Engineering & Products at MuleSoft, the CTO at Scientific Learning, and the SVP Engineering at SchoolMessenger. He has held middle management positions at Oracle, Ariba, and Siebel Systems, and at startups that have long run out of funding.
After a brief attempt at retirement, Ron is now working as an operating advisor to private equity firms TA Associates and Cove Hill Partners. He has done product and technology diligence on 100+ M&A deals totaling over $7B in capital. He sits on three private company boards of directors.
